Real Estate - Samples of Our Compelling Choice and Value

When you drive through Cherokee County, your first thought may be that it’s hard to imagine we are under an hour to Charlotte to our northeast, and just 30 minutes to Spartanburg/Greenville, which is to our southwest, along I-85.  Although they are "next door," big city congestion, noise, and their problems, are far away.

Here you can relax.  Our easy pace of life permeates through Cherokee County, and is a welcome relief after a full work day.  And when you look at the "price tags" of our real estate, be sure to brace yourself - you simply won't believe them!

Versus other places in America, our real estate prices and taxes are incredibly low.  This affords you the luxury of choosing to save, or buy more, which means thousands for you and your family.  For instance, the tax savings alone, compared to other parts of the country, can be the difference between paying annual tuition for private school, or day care for a child!

Variety:  Gaffney has an historic district with mansion-style homes adjacent to downtown as well as across from the Limestone College campus.  You can choose an estate home or ranch in the country with plenty of acreage for horses or livestock.  Traditional suburban-style neighborhoods with big yards are also omnipresent, just minutes from town, the Outlet Mall, or the Interstate.

Easy house shopping:  The housing choices vary, and they are distinct.  And it's easy to shop the real estate market here because virtually all of our population is in the northern part of Cherokee County along Interstate 85.

Charlotte is 40 miles from Cherokee County to our Northeast on I-85.  Spartanburg is about 20 minutes southwest of Gaffney on I-85.  South of Gaffney is sparsely populated. Most of the new development is on State Road 11 in the “Grassy Pond” and “Cherokee National (Country Club)” areas – Historic Cowpens National Park, which seems remote on this map, is actually just minutes from I-85, and only a 15-minute drive to downtown Gaffney.
